I have so much to say, yet nothing to say. But if I don’t get a post up soon, we’ll be in March and I’ll be kicking myself.
Then I decided, I have a lot of pretty pictures to share! So I don’t really have to come up with lots of words after all. You’re welcome.
I’ve referenced the mild winter we are having up at Fenton Ranch in the Jemez Mountains of New Mexico. This has translated to a ton of hiking and discovering the local area. There are endless old fire and logging roads surrounding us in San Antonio National Forest and even our buddy who has lived in the area for 9 years hasn’t explored them all. Once you scramble up to the ridges, excellent views of the whole valley reward you.
Fenton Ranch is 1000 feet below somewhere!

Why yes, those are goats! Not wild mountain goats, just our friend Jeff’s pet (hunting) goats.
I had to include one picture from our only big snowstorm this winter.
Hunting goats? Now that’s a new one! You live in an amazing place!
Wait. What? You must mean Santa Fe National Forest. I’m working on a project for them doing some wilderness inventory. Some of it is in the Jemez Mountains! Naturally the field work was done by someone else and I have the fun of looking at their notes. But now I will wonder where exactly you are!
Thank you! who isn’t into that kind of thing.
