On Feb. 5, 2016, I announced on the blog that I was getting serious about book writing. The post was part-reflective, part-goal-making, but I fully recognized that the process would be glacially slow and I ended the post by saying:
“Wish me luck. Maybe I’ll have a book written by 2020.”
Oddly enough, we are now rounding out 2020—quite possibly everyone’s least favorite year thus far—and guess what? I actually have some personal good news and my prediction is coming true.
Between Each Step: A Married Couple’s Thru Hike on New Zealand’s Te Araroa is finally published, thanks to Atmosphere Press! Orders will officially be shipping out November 15, 2020, but you can pre-order it now on my newly updated website (thanks Brice at Esplin Media)! It is available on Amazon, but direct purchases from personal websites support us authors more than other formats.
Well, I certainly have more to say. But I’ll save that for another blog post. (That way you don’t forget about clicking on the link to pre-order the book LOL). Did I mention that all pre-orders that are placed by 11:59pm on 11/14/20 are being entered for a giveaway for awesome prize from these gear companies?
SPOT Gen4 Satellite GPS Messenger ($150 value plus 1 month of service)
$100 gift card from CloudLine Apparel
Sport 25 Portable Power Bank from Powertraveller ($59 value)
Sawyer Gift Pack ($50 value includes Micro Squeeze, Sunscreen, Picaridin, Permethrin, Blist-O-Bans)
It still feels surreal to have my PUBLISHED book hit the market!
