As per our usual hello-goodbye tour we do at least once a year, we spent 10 days on the East Coast in mid November—specifically New Jersey & Connecticut to see my family, but Justin also made a detour to see his dad in Massachusetts on this trip.
A significant portion of my family and many many friends reside in Jersey, so we typically feel pretty spread thin on the short trips trying to see all the people. Obviously my main goal is spending time with my mom, my sister, and our niece and nephew, and I felt like I got a memorable visit in with all of them. Janice & I cooked up an early Thanksgiving feast together, which we haven’t done in quite awhile. My mom thoroughly enjoyed having all her family together!!!! She loves family more than she loves coffee, which is saying a lot.
Justin traveled a bit further north to Massachusetts, where his dad and stepmom live, as well as his stepbrother & wife. Jamie, his sister, flew in from Colorado for the quick visit.
There were a few other family members and friends on my side that I saw, but without photographic proof. One must-see group during our Jersey visits include Justin’s friends from his private NJ high school!
This Seton Hall Prep crew has been flourishing since 1995, and now that some of the crew kids are entering high school themselves, the boys are squirming to think about being on the other side of the shenanigans.
I’m planning to go back to Jersey in the spring for a bit longer and solo, so I hope to branch out and see more friends while I’m there!

Hi Patrice and Justin!! Just wanted to let you know I saw Mrs Gibbles and she looks fat and happy. It sounds like you are both having fun and doing well. Have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!! Janet and Jack
Your comment about your mom loving her family, more than coffee made me laugh! I just read Janet’s comment and was delighted to hear Mrs. Gibbles is alive and well!
No Beef though.
